Team for a Day
Love doing 4 way but don't have a team? Have a team and want to do more? Looking to improve
your RW skills? Just off student status? Want to learn more about 4 way? Then you'll love
CSC Rhythm XP's Team for a Day program. How does it work?
Sign up ahead of time for one (or more) of the dates scheduled. CSC Rhythm XP will pair you up with 1 or 2 others and 1 or 2 Rhythm members. Your Rhythm team captain will plan the dives and lead the team through a day of jumping following the same format we follow when we train. You'll get the dives ahead of time. We'll stretch, creep, dirt dive, mock up the exit, and then debrief and repeat each dive and debrief at the end of the day.The team captain will work with you to outline a set of goals for the day, and will pick a 'topic' for the day. The dives will focus on the fundamentals of 4 way and formation skydiving as well as the 'topic', so that each Team for a Day will have new topics for you. This way you can do Team for a Day over and over, and focus on something new each time.
Topics could include:
- Randoms: Stop Drills, Communication, Key Discipline
- Randoms: Short to Long moves
- Randoms: Outfacing moves
- Blocks: "Random" blocks 7, 9, 14, 15
- Blocks: Turning Pieces: Block 21, 6, 8, 19
- Blocks: Blocks with Solo Flyers: Block 2 and 4
- Blocks: More Piece Turns: 1, 11, 18
- Blocks: Blocks with Two Solo Flyers: 20, 22, 13
- Blocks: Slot Switchers: 3, 10, 12, 16
- Blocks: Double Slot Switchers: 5, 17
This program is designed for:
- Newer Jumpers: 4 way is a great way to learn the fundamentals of RW, form good habits, and see immediate improvements in your flying.
- Anyone interested in learning more about 4 way: This program is a great way to learn about 4 way technique and perhaps meet others who might be interested in forming a team.
- Anyone who already loves 4 way: Whether you have a team for the season or not, this is a great way to get in some more good 4 way!
Cost:
Just your slot. If your team would like video of the jumps (recommended), that can be arranged at an additional cost.To sign up or if you have ANY questions, please contact us.
Additional Coaching
Besides our scheduled events, the team is happy to help newer teams in any way we can. We would love to be a
resource in the Chicago area for any teams who are interested. Whether you are interested in structured
weekends or simply some informal discussions, feel free to contact us, and we will be happy
to tailor our coaching to accommodate your needs. Some ways we are happy to help include:
- Starting a team / looking for teammates
- Forming a plan
- How to creep, prep dives, debrief jumps
- Reviewing videos
- Body position, flying
- Block / random technique
- Exits
- Picking team nicknames
Scrambles
After great success last year, CSC Rhythm XP is again hosting two scrambles events at CSC in 2008.No 4-way experience is necessary. Teams will be mixed to ensure that there's an even amount of experience on each team. The meet will consist of four jumps taken from the 4-way dive pool, and a tiebreaker, if needed. Scrambles are a great way to do a no-pressure 4 way meet, jump with new people, learn a lot, help lower experience jumpers and possibly win some prizes!

Events at Paraclete XP Wind Tunnel
We had a great time at our skills camp in March. Check out our gallery for pictures. CSC Rhythm XP is happy to fly with you in a variety of formats. Focus on 1-on-1 flying, or take three Rhythm team members and do some 3-on-1 flying. Join a friend with two Rhythm team members and make it two-on-two. Interested in doing a camp, but only have 3 teammates who can make it? Have one Rhythm member fill in. Any way you would like us to work with you in the tunnel, we're happy to do it. Contact us for more details and stay tuned for future events.
